A collage of images depicting various environmental issues

With climate change falling off the priority agenda of some countries and the U.S. taking unprecedented action to roll back regulations that safeguard air, water, climate and health, it’s been a challenging year.

But as we’ve done for nearly 60 years, we’ve kept advancing environmental solutions backed by science and economics, in partnership with organizations, communities, governments and companies around the world, to keep making progress.

Download EDF’s 2025 Impact Report below to learn about some of our most notable achievements of the year, such as:

  • Launching the Wildfire Action Accelerator at the recent COP30 climate change conference in Brazil — a pledge signed by more than 50 forest nations, Indigenous partners and others to move from reacting to fires to preventing them.
  • Guiding a global transition to clean, affordable energy by defending methane regulations in the U.S., supporting standards for clean vehicles in California and creating a first-ever price on carbon and new fuel standards for international shipping.
  • Supporting people and protecting nature by enhancing livestock productivity in India to reduce methane emissions; reducing illegal gold mining, pollution and deforestation in the Amazon; and expanding loan funds for U.S. farmers to improve nitrogen management.
  • Ensuring healthy, safe communities for all by defending clean air protections in the U.S.; boosting Brazil’s capacity to battle air pollution; and securing and defending protections against highly toxic chemicals.

We can’t do this work without you. Together, we’ll continue to find the ways that work to protect what matters most: a livable climate, strong healthy communities and a vital Earth for future generations.

Thank you for your support. Your help is what made all the progress in this report possible.
